Masha Tea: Hibiscus
Hibiscus is called "red sour" because it creates a deep, ruby-red liquid when brewed. The flavor is tart, similar to cranberry, and balanced. It's a nutrient-rich herbal tea.
SUGGESTED USE - brew 1 teaspoon in a cup of hot water for 3-5 mins at 200F
FOR ICED TEA - three tablespoons of hibiscus per half gallon of water. pour room temperature water and place in fridge. after 8 hours, strain and enjoy.
Masha Tea was created by Maria Geyman, a board-certified naturopathic doctor and longtime Vogue contributor, writing on culture, food, and beauty. Her first book, With Tea, published by Rizzoli books is forthcoming in September 2026. She occasionally consults for brands and hospitality groups on wellness themes.
